In less than a week, I will board a plane for the first time in my life. In less than a week, I will fly across an ocean and land in another country. In less than a week, I will be thanks-giving alongside orphaned children and maybe breaking bread with the homeless and hurting. In less than a week, I will see poverty with my own eyes. The kind that makes you really take a long look and run to Jesus. In less than a week, I will be in Haiti. And I stand in awe, because daily Jesus shows me what really matters in this life.
Reality is slowly setting in, and in a few days I will be in Haiti. Hopefully I will be able to keep you all updated on my trip! I will not have cell phone service, but will be able to send emails. You can follow me on

Hi Allison, it is Wednesday morning and I woke up thinking about you. Wondering how you are doing. Trying to imagine what your day will be like today. Wondering whose heart you will touch today and whose heart will touch yours. I know that it will be so very special what ever the story.
